Maternidad subrogada

Surrogate motherhood is the practice of a woman carrying and giving birth to a child for another person or couple who will become the child's legal parents. There are two main types of surrogacy: traditional surrogacy and gestational surrogacy.

In traditional surrogacy, the surrogate mother is artificially inseminated with sperm from the intended father or a donor. The surrogate mother is genetically related to the child, and may have legal rights to the child unless she relinquishes them.

In gestational surrogacy, the surrogate mother carries a child that is not genetically related to her. Instead, an embryo is created through in vitro fertilization (IVF) using the intended parents' or donors' sperm and egg, and then implanted into the surrogate mother's uterus.

Surrogacy can be a complex and controversial issue, with legal, ethical, and emotional considerations. Some people view surrogacy as a way to help infertile couples or same-sex couples become parents, while others view it as exploitative or morally problematic. Laws regulating surrogacy vary widely across different countries and states.
